I saw this picture myself and said what is this?!

They said the Chinese surgeons wanted to save the man's severed hand by grafting it onto his ankle for about a month before reattaching it to his arm.

If they tried to attach the hand to his arm immediately, its cells would die from lack of blood supply because the damaged nerves and tendons needed time to heal.
