I got to hear of this trend of dancing just about two days ago when someone wrote something about it being demonic and signifying something like Demonstrating Anti-Christ Bow which is a bow to the devil.
So I was in the youth church this Sunday and I saw the same dance steps. From what I gather, this new dance move have been around for quite sometime (I guess maybe last year) and originates from the American Hip Hop community in Atlanta.
Dabbing is said to be when the dancer raises their hand to their face, then drops their face into the elbow of that arm
while lifting up the other arm in the air.
Now the question is: Is it true that dabbing is devilish?
Sincerely I don't know. I don't know its origin and I won't deny the subtlety of the devil in the music industry.
But what I can say is: let it be to you what you call it.
It reminds me of the word LOL. Some people said Christians should desist from using it because it means Lucifer our lord.
Well sorry, I still use lol because to me it means laughing out loud. Jesus remains my sole Lord and personal Savior, no one else. It's indisputable.
All the same, it's important that we be spiritually conscious and allow the Holy Spirit lead us to do what glorifies God. Let even your dance moves bring glory to God. I personally won't be dabbing tomorrow.I have my own dance move. Lol.
Stay conscious of the times. All is not what it seems. God bless you real good.
