I love talking about the last days. In fact, that's what this blog is all about. I talk about it because this is what God needs me to do. It's all about alerting the people to get ready, Jesus is coming soon.
Signs or physical events will follow up the coming of Jesus. If you are having doubts that we are in the last days then consider these revelations the Holy Spirit made long before you and I were born, in the time of the early Church. God always warns His people ahead of time but how many of us actually listen?
Now crosscheck and see if this is what it is in our time.
People will cast away their shame and commit every sin and abomination in the book and at the same time make a jest of the truth.
Right now, there is no limit to sin. The only sin that has not been committed is the one that has not been imagined.
'In the last days there will come scoffers who will do every wrong they can think of and laugh at the truth. This will be their line of argument: “So Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? He’ll never come! Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly as it was since the first day of creation.” ' (2 Peter 3:3-4)
Some Christians will abandon the faith
It's also called 'the falling away.' Some Christians are renouncing their faith in Jesus and embracing another.
'Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons...'(1 Timothy 4:1)
It will be a very difficult time.
It is really hard to practice Christianity at this time. Sex is more available now than it has ever been. It's just a click away, so you see more and more Christians giving into the sin of sexual immorality eg pornography, masturbation, fornication.
Abominations are on the increase too. More so, not only is the economy biting hard but Christian persecution is going on allover the world, famine, earth quakes etc.
But despite all this, there is a Remnant that still stand separated.
But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come (2 Timothy 3:1)
This will be a period when strange things will be happening
Sin and rebellion will escalate. You will hear of things you never heard before and love will be scarce.
'For people will love only themselves and their money; they will be proud and boastful, sneering at God, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful to them, and thoroughly bad.
They will be hardheaded and never give in to others; they will be constant liars and troublemakers and will think nothing of immorality. They will be rough and cruel, and sneer at those who try to be good.
They will betray their friends; they will be hotheaded, puffed up with pride, and prefer good times to worshiping God. They will go to church, yes, but they won’t really believe anything they hear. Don’t be taken in by people like that.' (2 Tim 3:2-5)
People want to hear what suits them, not the truth.
People no more want to hear the truth so what do they do? They go to where they will be told what they like to hear. They are looking for any form of justification to continue living in their sin.
'For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.' (2 Timothy 4:3)
You will see self professing Christians living sinful lives
They go to church but you can't just connect their lives with who they claim they are. Things that should not even be heard in the Church is what we hear today. You hear of fornication/adultery, incest, sexual immorality, greed, divisions, in-fighting, hate, exploitation, deceit, indecency etc.
It is becoming hard to differentiate between the world and the Church because worldliness has crept into the Church and there is lots of hypocrisy and tolerance to sin.
'In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts. These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.' (Jude 1:18-19)
Knowledge and confusion will increase
Science and technology is going haywire. They are building the tower of Babel with it. It is said that knowledge is power and through their knowledge, man wants to play God. Smh. Also I won't fail to mention occult knowledge which is definitely rampant in our time.
'..seal up the book until the time of the end when many will rush here and there, and knowledge ill increase.' (Daniel 12:4)
There will false teachers. False prophets. False doctrines.
They are everywhere and people are trooping to these churches and being deceived. The truth of the gospel is watered down and these so called pastors come in the name of God and lead the people astray with strange doctrines. Penuel Mnguni of End Time disciple ministry is an example of such.
2 Pet 2:1-22
Increased spiritual laxity in the Church
More and more Christians do not know God's Word for themselves and because of this, they are easy targets to false doctrines. People run helter skelter looking for answers and end up finding it in the wrong places while all along all they needed was in God's Word.
