Christian persecution has long started even in the US. It's not only when somebody is killed because of his faith that it's tagged persecution. Right now in US, Christian businesses are shut down.Christians are being marginalized just because of their stand: to obey God and not man. The pressure is on the Church right now either to give in or give way.
The Christian couple who refused to bake a cake for a lesbian couples wedding in 2013 because it will violate their religious convictions has been ordered to pay $135,000 to the lesbian couple for emotional damages. They were also ordered to desist from publicly speaking about the incident. The Kleins were forced to close shop in 2013 after harassment from the LGBT caused so much strain on their business.
On their Facebook page , the Kleins declared,"We stand for God's truth, God's Word and freedom for ALL americans.We are here to obey God, not man, and we will not conform to this world. If we were to lose everything it would be totally worth it for our Lord who gave his one and only son, Jesus, for us! God will win this fight!"
In another report, The entire staff of a county clerk’s office in Tennessee has resigned following the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling declaring that all 50 states must legalize same-sex “marriage.” They decided to leave their jobs because of their Christian convictions. One of the women who resigned said,
" ... we are not doing it in any way to draw attention to us. It’s for the glory of God. He’s going to get all the glory.”
The devil is a trouble maker and he will do anything to make sure that he puts more Christians in 'trouble' for their faith. Already the persecutions have started and while this sifting is going on , only the 'wheat' will remain. Lets pray for Christians in America and all over the world. I believe the Kleins were used as scape-goat, to send a warning note to other Christians that this is what will happen when they refuse to disobey God and accept the new law on homosexuality.
I thank God for those who stand. Jesus said, "And every one that has left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life." Matt 19:29
