This one happened closer home. In South Africa. It’s so we know that the persecution and gay acceptance is fast spreading. Even US vows to pressure Nigeria into legalizing homosexuality. I hope they don’t intend to blackmail us into giving in…Now to the story:
A Christian student, Zizipho Pae ,at a South Africa university has been removed from her position as Student Representative Council (SRC) president after expressing her opposition to gay marriage on a personal Facebook page.
She was responding to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage when she wrote on Facebook, "We are institutionalizing and normalizing sin! May God have mercy on us."
Following her post on Facebook, Pae was removed from her position, as the SRC said it supported the “rights of minorities and specifically the gay community.”
Pae also endured threats and harassment from LGBT advocates. The student’s shared office was vandalized with signs that read “get out of here” and scripture verses were torn down from the walls.
"Being an SRC member in my view does not mean that you need to abandon your Christian convictions and your faith,” she said.
"Christ in my life comes before all political positions or political thoughts, so I definitely won't be retracting what I said."
The University of Cape Town responded to the incident saying that it supports freedom of religion as well as LGBT rights.
*I love you Pae. God bless you for standing up for the Truth. He that endure to the end shall be saved.
When we see these things happening all around us, doesn’t it tell you the birth pangs have begun?
