Wondering, what if Adam and Eve took responsibility for their actions and apologized to God rather than looking for whom to blame, would their judgement have turned out the way it did?

    God is Merciful, God could have destroyed them instantly because that's what a man would have done , but God is just too Merciful, I know one thing for sure, God is Holy and hate disobedience but He is also Compassionate. When David Disobeyed God by counting the Israelites, He took responsibility for His actions and God was compassionate. So I think yes, There might have been a more compassionate Judgment
