WORDSHARE: How you win spiritual battles...

This is the sequel of my wordshare article 'The devil wants something from you'. My Bible verse is Eph 6:10-18

 

Spiritual battles are raging all around us, day in day out. If you haven't noticed then you are sleeping or slumbering and need to wake up. So many Christians have fallen because we have refused to do the needful. 

 

So what do we do to win? 

Put in every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will be standing firm. 

 

So two things you need the armor for: To resist Satan and to still remain standing  at the end of the day. 

How do you gird up yourself in readiness? 

Stand your ground Christian! Don't let the devil deceive you. Put on God armor pieces. Every single piece work hand in hand. Don't put on three or four of them or you will lose the battle. Put on the whole thing so you win. 

Could this be the reason why Christians fail? We just pick up the armor pieces that are convenient for us an leave the rest. If we do that we just prepared ourselves to lose the battle Satan is waging against our minds, soul and body. 

To win, we must (no other option but this):

-Put on the belt of truth

-Put on the body armor of righteousness

-Put  on the shoes of peace that comes from the Good News. 

-Hold up a shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil

-Put on the helmet of salvation

-Take the sword of the Spirit, which is God's Word. 

-Then cap it all up with prayers. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. 

So if you must win check yourself and see if you are fully clothed in these - truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the Word of God. Do all these in prayer, asking for God's help. 

That's why you don't dismiss things you see around you as normal. It's a spiritual battle for one thing - souls. And only those in Jesus who are completely armored will win. Don't be taken down.

 

We hear of suicides, infidelity, domestic violence, murder, gossip, corruption, perversions, immorality etc. They are not ordinary. They showed up for a purpose. It is a spiritual battle for your soul and mine. 

Put on every piece of God's armor.
