WORDSHARE: The devil wants 'something' from you...

I once had a discussion with a female soldier, a rather interesting one actually. But one striking thing she said was that any soldier that dies with bullet wounds on his/her back, benefits will not be given to his family by the government. 

"Why? But he died while serving his country!" I said kind of disappointed.
The soldier explained, "A bullet wound on his back signifies that he was fleeing from the enemy. Soldiers are not expected to run in the face of battles no matter how fierce."

Soldiers don't retreat. That was what they signed up for. They press on no matter how hot the battle is. Do you notice that no armor is provided for the back? Lol. Yeah. That's why. 

Same way, we are soldiers in a spiritual battle. No retreat no surrender. And as a soldier of Christ the only way we can win this spiritual war raging around us everyday is to put on the whole armor of God! 

'Whole', 'entire', 'every single' piece counts as we battle day after day. Why? In order to be able to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil we must put on all, not some, but all them cos they work hand in hand. One piece of armor can not do without the other! 

Who are you fighting with? 
Evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world (yes, there is an unseen world!), against mighty powers in this dark world and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 

It's to tell you that what is fighting to bring you down is not your boss, it's not your village people. Your real enemy is the devil. He is the one you are fighting with. He is the one working hard through the media, entertainment, etc to deter you from God's plan and purpose for your life. 
 
What is the devil fighting for?
Your soul! Your faith!

So what do we do to win?

    I thought Christ has defeated devil for us on the cross of calvary? What else are we fighting him for again? We should just stand on the victory we already have in Christ Jesus over the devil and claim our blessings. Chiji.

      Sure! The battle is already won and the devil already defeated in Christ but that does not mean you should be ignorant of the constant spiritual war the devil is wedging against your soul. He is doing everything to take us away from God's presence because he knows he can't touch us as long as we are in Christ!

      The only way to remain, to win him despite all his strategies is to put on God's whole armor as a true soldier of Christ.

      A spiritual war for our souls is constantly raging. Gird up or u will lose out. The battle against the devil is already won in Christ that's why u will do everything to stay in Him.
