What popular pastors have said on tithing

I took my time to compile what various popular pastors have said so far on tithing. Please read in case you missed any.

Pst Adeboye: "Please do not let anybody get you into trouble by attracting God’s curse to yourself, please pay your tithe. I have said it before and I will say it again and again, if your physical father curse you, it can be cancel by your spiritual father, if your spiritual father curse you it can be cancel by the general overseer, if your general overseer curse you, you can fast and pray to your father in heaven but it God curses you, where will you go?"

Pst Adeboye

Bishop Oyedepo: “Everybody believes that God has an open Heaven order of blessings for His people. But you see it takes your tithing to qualify for it. So, if you only know the promise but you don’t know the condition, you will die frustrated.

“Now Christ has redeemed us from the curse of sin, from poverty, from death, but what does it take to get there, it takes faith in the demands. People just believe the promise but you need to believe the demands. It is believing the demands that entitles you to the fulfilment of the promise.

Paul Adefarasin: “You don’t have to pay tithe in this new covenant. Tithing will not make you a Millionaire. You don’t pay tithe to be blessed. You are already blessed. Tithing is a faith response to the blessing.

“Abraham paid tithe after he was blessed not so that he would be blessed.

Abraham paid tithe to Melchidezek who was a high priest. We pay to Christ who is also our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.

“Tithing is an honour system. It began before the law. In the law, if you don’t pay, you are cursed. In this new covenant era, even if you don’t pay, there is no curse. There is no curse for the Child of God in Christ. Only blessings.

“I don’t like teaching Tithing to babies. That’s not what they need. They need Christ and more of him for when they become mature, Tithing will not be an issue for them. They know the source of their wealth. Faith without works is dead. He who does not work, let him not eat. Work.”

Pst Suleman: “If you asked me, there is nothing wrong with tithing. But tithes should be used by pastors to maintain Christianity, assist the poor in the church, the vulnerable and the stranded. Not that everything should go into the pastor’s pocket, that’s wrong. Every pastor should be on allowance.
Bishop Oyedepo

Mike Bamiloye: “I pay my tithes and I give my offerings as instructed by God. But it is never and can never be my business, whatever the tithes and offerings are used for. And it is God I have given my tithes, because he said, it is him i have robbed if I don’t pay the tithes into his house.

“Therefore, I have no problem with any pastor or church the lord leads me to pay my tithes.”

TB Joshua: “It’s scriptural to ask for offering and tithes but it has to come from the heart.”
“Anything that does not come from your heart becomes a curse to the person you give… We ministers of God should allow the congregation to bless us, not curse us with their possessions.”

Pst Sarah Omakwu: "Pay your tithes. Don't let the devil tell you otherwise. Your tithes are used in helping the poor, the widows etc. So each time you don't give your tithe know that you are stopping someone's opportunity to be blessed by you."
Pst Sarah Omakwu of Family Worhip Centre

Reno Omokri: "I'm not supporting pay or don't pay, but Jesus preached tithe once and salvation over 100 times. Let our message focus on Salvation not tithe. It may annoy my colleagues, but the truth is that four commandments were given to the Gentile church by the Apostles and tithing is NOT one."

*Tithe out of personal conviction not because someone coerced you to. If you must tithe, do it in love for God, from your heart as an act of worship. Whatever we do for the Lord must be done from our hearts not by imposition, compulsion or coercion.

Or possibly you are worried that your pastor is using your tithes for personal purposes? Please if you are in a church were you are not confident of what your pastor does with the tithe, what exactly are you doing there?

Also bear in mind that your tithe isn't to the pastor but to God. How the church leadership uses this tithe is God's business. They are accountable to Him. If they misuse it, sure you know there are consequences. So don't worry. Do your part from your heart.

But I know there are churches who use their tithes to help the poor, widows, missions purposes. Tithe because you love God, because you know He deserves that 'sacred portion'. It's an act of worship to the Owner of the heavens and the earth. Let's not seat around going over this debate. There are much more important things we should be doing as God's children.

When you love God, things like this should not be an issue to you. When you give to God or anyone in love, you will surely be rewarded. Give from your heart!

  1. Let's stop all these preaching about money please. This tithe thing is like this because it is about MONEY! This is really annoying, the way and manner they are going about this money issue is disgusting. It is hypocritical! It is not about God one bit, it is about what comes into their tray. Look at how the so called pastors have all contradicted themselves, see what Paul Adefarasin wrote contradicted big time what Oyedepo and Adeboye said and yet these are men of God reading the same bible claiming to also have the Holy Spirit and yet their Holy spirit is giving them different translations on this issue of tithe? Smh! You go to churches nothing like salvation is preached, sin is no longer condemned in churches, God is not preached in churches, the real word that set people free is not preached again. People are under bondage none of these pastors has anointing to pray them out. Witchcraft is attacking people everyday putting them under bondages no pastor to help pray them out. They are all busy chasing tithe and offering. They don't have anointing! People are visiting Babalawo after going to church because they did not get solution to their problems in the church. Pastors focus attention to they people that are contributing more to their church. I can go on and on. Have we asked ourselves why there are no more miracles now like we heard there were in the time of Smith Wiggle worth, Katherine Kulhman, John G. Lake, Kenneth E. Hagin just to mention a few? Honestly if not that I know God on a personal level with what is happening now I would have had a rethink on Christianity, that's the truth. But I thank God He made himself known to me long time ago.

    1. Hmm mm... It is well. Thank God u know Him on a personal level. That's what every Christian should strive to achieve - knowing God personally so as not to be swayed by every wind of doctrine.

Thank God He judges the thoughts and intents of man's heart and He knows these pastors' motives. He will judge them accordingly.

Our own part is to serve Him from our heart. Let's pursue what really matters. We are so carried away by this tithing debate that we forget it's more important to God we love Him and people around us than tithing. Some people Tithe but they have no personal relationship with Jesus, no salvation. Sad.

God help us feel His heart beat at this time.

  2. You go to church with your problems they tell you it is 'pray yourself out ministry' since they are claiming to be priests why should I pray myself out and still pay tithe to your church? What for really? Did Jesus Christ in HIS earthly reign ever say such to any of the people he healed? They are all answering general overseers by mere mouth,

Celebrities sell their souls to the devil for fame and fortune

It is said that most Hollywood celebrities, to get to where they are today, made a deal with the devil...they sold their souls for fame and fortune. By selling their souls they submit to Satan so that he totally uses, enslaves and possesses their life, body, mind, will and soul. Satan's goal and agenda becomes theirs. Their life is no more their own. So let it not surprise you when their songs or movies serve Satan's purpose of driving men into deeper darkness. These celebrities are idolized and literally worshiped but clearly they serve Satan and channel demonic spirits through their music and movies. From the likes of Madonna,Jay Z, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicky Minaj ,Eminem, Bob Dylan and so so many others, these are known to be demon possessed having sold their souls to the devil. Melyssa Ford, a Canadian hip hop model and actress ,said in an interview, "If your ultimate goal is to be famous, you have to do a lot to get there like sign your name in blood i

Late Hollywood actress, Marilyn Monroe, told Billy Graham, "I don't need your Jesus."

She had the perfect life anyone could dream of; remarkable wealth and great fame. Despite all that, Marilyn kept all of her sufferings to herself. One day during filming, a preacher named Billy Graham visited her. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus". During that time, Monroe who was allegedly having a romantic affair with the President of the United States, John F Kennedy. A week later, she was found dead in her bedroom. Theories of her death started to spread. Some say she was assassinated because of political conspiracies and in the end, the most accepted theory up to this day is she committed suicide. It shows that she was suffering from a severe depression. In fact it is actually the right time for her to seek God, asking for help, not to take the easy way out by taking her own life. *Hmmm... One day soon I will write on Marily

See how music is used to cast spells...(A must read)

We love music, but do you know there could be more to music than we bargained for? The devil is desperate and we should not be ignorant of his devices and this is one of them. One weapon that he always uses is subtlety . Here's what I pulled from a Wiccan website concerning Magickal music or let me say how they cast spells in music: "A magick spell is the integration of an intent with a physical representation of that intent.  "For instance, when you make a Witch’s spell pouch, out of a cloth and some herbs and oils and objects, each of those items represents a part of your intent. And in the magick, you are binding those two things: your intention and the physical world. "This brings your intention into form in the physical world. That's how magick spells work. In magickal music, the intention is wrapped up into a song, and bound into it. "When I create magickal songs, I do it with the guidance of the Divine. In a meditative state
