A woman says that Virgin Mary's experience in the Christmas story is rape

A mum has sparked an outrage by saying that the Virgin Mary was 'raped' by God when she conceived the baby Jesus.

She said she is trying to teach her daughters about consent but 'struggles' to understand the Christmas  story because of Mary's immaculate conception.She asked if someone could give her 'an explanation of how God's treatment of the Virgin was in any way acceptable.'

The mother said Mary's experience was 'utterly and clearly rape' and questioned how she would teach it to her girls. 

She posted: 'The Virgin Mary was made pregnant by a man/God/spirit she had never met and without a single word of consent being spoken or even discussed. To my mind that is utterly and clearly rape. 
'I am told it is offensive to say so but I don't hold with protecting the reputation of rapists so I don't really mind.'

Whilst other moms were outraged and questioned her sanity, some few others pointed out that the Bible reveals that Mary did actually consent to being the mother of Jesus.

*Truth is I couldn't get myself to type the first line of this post, that Mary was raped by ***. It's sad. It hurts. Smh.
This woman is insinuating rape because she thinks Mary didn't give her consent. In other words, God slept with Mary without her consent. This thought is sick and unthinkable and demonic.
 
Number one, God didn't sleep with Mary for her to conceive cos I know some senseless set of people who twist the gospel to insult God say so. This was what the angel said to Mary, "The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of God shall overshadow you; so the baby born to you will be utterly holy..." Luke 1:35.
 
Neither did God plant His seed in Mary's womb without Mary agreeing to God's plan and purpose. God never forces anyone to do His will. That's why we all have free-will. He doesn't force salvation on you. All He asks you to do is to believe. It's your decision.
 
I am not here to explain the mystery of the immaculate conception. But if you want to know the truth about God, get to know Him personally. When God's Word is revealed to you, you will know the Truth and this Truth will make you free and stop you from reasoning like this woman up there.
