MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I listened to a neighbor's child singing a song. It said, "Why are you celebrating Christmas, why are you celebrating Christmas?" Somehow, those words from the young boy's song struck me. Why really are we celebrating Christmas?

Often times the essence of Christmas celebration is lost in the euphoria of the festivities that follow this season. Some people clearly have no idea that Christmas is not about just giving gifts, or about Santa, or about rice and chicken and having fun, or about getting drunk, or holidays. Christmas is for one reason: celebrating Jesus.

I always see Christmas as a reminder to the whole world that a Savior was born for the salvation of them. Yes, a reminder of the person called Jesus who came to save us from our sins.

So why are you celebrating Christmas? Today, I am celebrating salvation. I am celebrating this Jesus cos I know if He didn't come, I won't be where I am today. It was His coming that made His dying for us possible.

This season I pray that the Lord gives you a gift. And that you also will give him a gift but what gift will be better to give to the Lord today than a re-dedication of your life to Him?
