Doing my thing o when I came upon this title in Mirror, 'Memes are now more popular than Jesus - here is proof'.
Going through that article I quickly knew it was a coded insult to my King! Whoa!
Here's the reason for the conclusion (in their words): "the search term 'memes' now ranks higher than 'Jesus' and it appears the point in which memes became more popular than Jesus was just after his 2014th birthday."
Mirror wrote (please pay more attention to the ones I underlined),
"Between the dates of December 21-27 in 2014, memes overtook the respected Christian figure. Jesus might be cross. Mirror Online has reached out to Jesus for comment.
Famous memes include 'troll face', hate figure 'Pepe the Frog', and 'Grumpy Cat' – who, like Jesus, also has his own book. We don't think that Grumpy Cat has more followers than Jesus, however."
You may not see the subtle insult of the Lord here but I do and it cuts my heart.
The title itself is insulting and blasphemous. Reminds me of what Beatles said about being more popular than Jesus.
Whoa! My Jesus is in no competition with anything or anyone (man or spirit). He is 'the' standard. No one can measure up to Him.
God have mercy on whoever wrote that piece.Smh
