It's amazing we are just few hours out of 2016. Any new year resolution for your side? Lol.  It's normal and okay when we decide to be better and do better as a new phase unfolds in our lives but unfortunately not everyone succeeds in carrying them out.  Some may start and after a while, it's business as usual. Here is where they miss it: When making important decisions/resolutions always rely on God's help to accomplish it. Don't do it in your own stregth. When you try doing things on your own that only God can do, you will fail. Yes, a big FAIL. For instance you make the resolution, "In 2017, I will stop being hot tempered," Initially all is good and fine. You are deliberately avoiding anything that will trigger you; you work so hard to make sure you put up a smile when you are internally boiling over. 1, 2 months and then you are back to your old self. North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong-un, issued a mandate stating that North Koreans must celebrate  the birthday of his grandmother in place of the birth of Christ. ChristianToday.com reports that Kim Jong-un’s grandmother, Kim Jong-suk, was born on Christmas Eve in 1919.  She was a Communist activist and the wife of North Korea’s first dictator, Kim Il-sung. She died in 1949 under mysterious circumstances and has since been known as the “Sacred Mother of the Revolution.”  Kim Jong-un has mandated that North Koreans pay their respects to his grandmother by visiting her tomb. The exact birth date of Jesus remains unknown but that's not really what's important. What we should consider important is the Truth that God sent His only Son for our salvation.  So don't sit down and argue whether Jesus was born on the 25th or not; or whether today was dedicated to the sun god or not. The question is WHO are you celebrating? TODAY is reminder to the world that Someone came to die in their stead. All that we should see TODAY is not the fun nor the rice and chicken, it is Jesus. Not just for today but everyday of our lives. JESUS, not Santa Claus, is the reason of the season. We celebrate the birth of our King today and everyday. A very MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR. Please don't remove the CHRIST from Christmas and turn it to XMAS.

I really don't know what weddings in China are turning into. As believers, we understand Christmas is the time of year we rejoice the birth of Jesus Christ.  But secular people appropriate the holiday to celebrate both giving and materialism, with Santa Claus at the center.   Some Christians find no issue with telling their children the story of Santa Claus traversing the globe in a single night, delivering presents to all the good boys and girls.  We should tell children that Santa is a blatant lie.  A Theologian said, "There is no contest here. I cannot see why a parent—if they know and love Jesus, if they have found Jesus to be the greatest treasure in the world—why they would bring Jesus out of the celebration and Santa into the celebration at all. He is just irrelevant. He has nothing to do with it.
