But why is it called 'good'? What can be good about what happened to Jesus? The betrayal He faced, the beatings He received, the insults, the cajoling, His crucifixion...what actually makes it good? It should be a time when we should be mourning, weeping and wailing. A time to be sad, hurtful and depressed.
Lol. But again, God doesn't see things the way man does. He doesn't look at things the way the world does.
The results of Jesus' death are very good! Jesus saw the glory that lay beyond the cross. He knew after the pain comes sunshine. He was doing it for love. Have you ever been in love? Great! Then you should know exactly Jesus' motivation to go through what He went through. He did for love.
Not just for the love of His Father but for the love of you. Yes, YOU reading this now.
This Friday is good because it kicked off the process of our salvation. The devil had no idea what he was in for. Hahahahaha!
God has a way of working things (good or bad) out for our good. Believe me when I say that tomorrow you will look at your bad days and call it good because those bad days kicked off the process of your success. You would never had learnt what you learnt if you didn't have those bad, trying times. See through God's eyes and you will know that in Him, it is all good!
