Eugene Peterson, a pastor in a Presbyterian church and the author of the Message bible says he supports homosexuality and will officiate same sex wedding if asked to.
According to Christian post, the author of more than 30 books said that he knows many gays and lesbians who "seem to have as good a spiritual life as I do," noting that he would not have said that 20 years ago. He added that he thinks the whole debate about gays and lesbians is probably "over."
The Message, does not use the words "homosexual" and "homosexuality" in key texts.
I love what another pastor said on this matter, "I'll change my mind when God changes his. His is the only opinion that matters and on this issue God neither stammers or stutters."
*The great falling away? Wow. This is sad. And I really love the Message Bible.
God's stand on homosexuality cannot change for anyone. It will never change with time. His Word is fixed in the heavens and it's perfect.
