In case of any acid attack incidence, here are few simple things you could do immediately to help the victim. 1) Douse the victim in running water, rather than a wet cloth. The water dilutes the acid, and so it's important to keep refreshing with new, clean uncontaminated water, as quickly as possible.  Keep washing the burned body part with cool water until the pain begins to subside. This can take around 45 minutes. 2)If you see someone exposed to acid don't try and brush it off with your hands, or you'll end up burned yourself. If the substance is in powder form just brush it off, using a piece of clothing to protect your skin. 3) Take off any clothes/jewellery that have made contact with the acid. 4) Don't use cream in that area cos it may affect treatment prescribed by doctors. 5) If possible, loosely wrap the burn area in sterilized gauze, which helps prevent the wound from contamination. Few days ago it was falsely claimed that my fav gospel artiste, Don Moen, is dead after a short illness but thankfully the story is not true. I remembered this same fake news about his death was carried again over 13 years ago when I was still in the University. Then it was said Don Moen drowned in a river or something.  I had gone to visit a friend and she said to me, "Did you hear? Don Moen is dead!" I didn't believe it. I told her it can't be true. "With the kind of man Don Moen is, I don't believe he can die that way."
