"You don't need food and water. Humans can be sustained solely by the energy of the universe," - Breatharian couple
Breatharian (first time hearing of this name o) couple, Akahi and Camila, reveal they had hardly eaten since 2008 because they think food and water are unnecessary and that only the energy of the universe is capable of human sustenance.
Camila said she practiced breatharian during her first pregnancy, apparently not eating anything during the entire nine months that she carried her first child.
According to them they survive on a piece of fruit or vegetable broth just 3 times per week.
Mirror reports: 'The married couple-of-nine-years say that their ‘food-free lifestyle’ has improved their health and emotional wellbeing. The family’s lower cost of living has also allowed them to spend their money on other passions like travelling.
Camila, 34, explains: “Humans can easily be without food – as long as they are the connected to the energy that exists in all things and through breathing.
“For three years, Akahi and I didn’t eat anything at all and now we only eat occasionally like if we’re in a social situation or if I simply want to taste a fruit."
Husband Akahi, 36, believes that Breatharianism could be a way of slashing people’s grocery bills.'
The couple do not impose breatharianism on their children though. They allow them eat whatever they want to eat.
*New things everyday, right? Don't be surprised it tuns into religion very soon, that is if it hasn't. Whatever works for them but it's best to eat healthy.
