New terms are coming up everyday, more and more sexual orientations are emerging.And the latest is pornosexuality.
Pornosexuals are those who identify with only being aroused by pornography and experience pleasure alone rather than through human interaction. In other words they love porn more than real sex.
According to a sex addiction therapist, people are more likely to become a pornosexual by watching X-rated material frequently as it desensitizes the brain and body.
A self-declared pornosexual said he would “choose porn over real sex any day", acknowledging that real sex can lead to intimacy and love but controversially stated he didn’t need it and that “porn is easier”.
*They always find a name for it, don't they? From erectile dysfunction to pornosexuality. Yeah, pornosexuality sounds more acceptable, right? Gives them the feeling that there is nothing wrong with them; that porn is not destroying their sex lives.
Until we tell ourselves the truth and call these things what they really are - problems - we can never deal with them effectively. Deliverance can only come to those who realize that, 'hey, this is wrong and I need stop it. I need to get help.'
This somehow reminds me of what Jesus said in Matt 9:12, "I have not come to call those who think they are righteous but those who know they are sinners."
Until you know you need help, you cannot get help cos it's only when you know that you will stand up and do something about it.
