Scientists have recreated the female reproductive system (vagina, cervix uterus and fallopian tubes) including the liver using human tissues in a book-sized biobot named Evatar.
Evatar, a 3D model of the entire female structure which can replicate the full menstrual cycle was built by researchers at Northwestern University.
The scientists believe that Evatar will help them understand how medicines affect women differently from men and also better understanding of reproductive diseases -endometriosis, infertility and fibroids.
The cubes inside the box are lined with human cells from each organ, except for the ovary box, which was lined with ovary cells from a mouse.
*It won't surprise me if tomorrow these people develop this biobot into a full fledged human robot that menstruates and possibly can get pregnant too. Lol.
You know man trying to do only what God can do, creating man in his own image and trying to play God. With scientific knowledge on the increase, men seek so desperately to be God.
Yes, it's true. It happened in the garden of Eden. Remember the serpent offering Eve the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil in order to be like God? Well, that quest is still on.
What am I even saying? Anyway, for now they have good intentions so we will work with that.
