TD Jakes' mentee, Pastor Chris Hill, resigns over alleged affair with a married woman

The senior pastor of the Potter's House Denver, Chris Hill is said to have allegedly cheated on his wife with his married god-daughter.

The pastor, who is the mentee of Bishop TD Jakes as well as his branch senior pastor in Denver has so far resigned and expected to separate from his wife.

The pastor's affair was made public when his wife of more than 20 years, Joy Hill, alleged in a mass text message to church members that she was able to verify that her husband carried on an affair with their young goddaughter, Shirnae McFarlane, who got married to Arthur McFarlane III on September 26, 2014.

The text read,

"FYI Pastor called the police on me tonight because I yelled at him asking him to leave the house tonight and he wouldn't. I was upset because he won't stop having an affair with Shirnae, and I can't live like this anymore.

They've been having an affair for SEVERAL months, and he finally admitted it yesterday (after I hired a private investigator to have them followed over the past 6 weeks),"

Shirnae's husband has since updated his Facebook status to separated while his wife's status remains 'married'.

*This is sad? What happened? No matter how 'spiritual' you are, never put yourself in a situation that opens you up to sexual temptation. Avoid it. Flee from it. And better still, don't be close to any woman other than your wife. It's safe and wiser that way.

I pray that the parties involved genuinely repent and return to the Lord...and yes, heal and reconcile with those they love.
