Sometimes
when I pray, I say, "Lord, thank you for sex." LOL. I'm sure someone is
like 'Huh?! Are you for real?' at this point. Yeah, I am dead serious.
What do you do when someone gives you a gift? So why shouldn't I give
thanks to the ONE who created sex and gave it as a gift to us?
God
created sex and made it beautiful. It's a celebration of love through
physical intimacy between two people who are qualified for it...through
marriage. The only time sex repulses God is if it's done outside the
confines of marriage.
Years
of being married to my husband has opened my eyes see how delicious and
un-boring (if I can use that word) God has created sex to be. It's so
amazing! You don't need to sleep with different men or women to gain
sexual satisfaction. You know why? Because your spouse can be all that
to you if you want it. It's your CHOICE.
Your
spouse can be your egusi soup, your ogbono soup, your afang soup , your
ewedu soup, your fried rice, your every every. God has put such
creative power in your spouse. But are you willing to explore this? You
will be amazed what you can discover in your spouse just by being
married to him/her. If you feel she doesn't know how to do it, teach
her, help her, coach her, educate her, refer her to the right sources
but please don't refer her to porn. Thank you.
Back
in my Uni days, I had a roommate who said sex is so dirty that God
can't be in a room where two people are having sex. Lol. Actually God is
delighted when married couples have sex. If it was dirty, why did He
create it in the first place?
But
we must use SEX the right way, and not abuse it. Until then, it's
impossible to discover the true beauty of SEX or experience absolute
sexual contentment.
"And how do I use sex the right way?" you may want to know.
By
having sex with ONLY the person you are married to and choosing to stay
faithful to your spouse in order to enjoy the diverse delicacies God
has poured into him/her. Sex is God's gift to 'married couples' so
kindly disillusion your mind from how dirty sex is.
Sex is dirty when you use it for the wrong purpose - curbing your lust.

I quite agree with you on this. In addition to that one can also ask God for strength and to increase libido to enjoy His Goodness to the maximum. These have really worked for me in over seven years of marriage and will always thank God after a good round of sex. I’m a man and pray with my wife on this. I hope Christians will learn to bring God to the minutest aspect of our lives. It’s really rewarding. God bless...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! The kind of relationship we have with God is the kind where we can freely tell Him/pray about anything and everything, even to sex matters.
DeleteBecause of how people view sex, they always have separated God from sex, but it shouldn't be. Sex is sacred. It ought to be enjoyed as a gift God has given to the MARRIED and we should deliberately thank Him for this sweet gift. It's not being carnal. It's an awesome thing to do.
God bless u too sir
