I am sure these women have no idea what they are getting themselves into by doing this 'sacred ritual' started by a woman who calls herself a 'blood witch'. It doesn't matter how it was put or for whatever reason it is encouraged to be done, this is witchcraft.
The blood witch gave herself a menstrual facial and encouraged other women to do the same. She rubbed the blood from her period on her face in a 'sacred ritual' (mark the word Sacred ritual so you know this isn't just a beauty trend or a sort of empowerment like these women think). It is what it is, a ritual - witchcraft.
The 26 year old who started this, by name Yazmina, said she felt a blood bond with the women who took part in it.
Unfortunately, these ignorant women think Yazmina is just empowering them not to be ashamed of their monthly cycle but to unashamedly talk it.
About this bizarre period facial, Yazmina said, "This was a sacred ritual to reconnect with my body. As women, we're deeply disconnected with our bodies because of societal shame.
"I decided to place the blood all over my face, and taste it to reclaim that part of myself. I could truly embody all that I was."
Yazmina is a former hairdresser.
*There will be a sequel to this article so wait for it. It's a pity how people willing but ignorantly delve into witchcraft without knowing it.
