Is there a conspiracy to remove Christ from Christmas and possibly reduce it to Xmas, a season of sharing? With what's going on all around us, I believe this is most likely the case, (my personal opinion though).
Recently, Salem VA Medical Center Dallas banned Christmas trees, as well as other Christian speech and celebrations. From an e-mail issued by the senior staff to employees,
'...Public areas may only be decorated in a manner that is celebratory of
the winter season. Displays must not promote any religion...'
But after some pressure they bent the rule a little by allowing private religious expressions only to be uttered in “personal work areas.” That means that an employee could be punished for wishing “Merry Christmas” to a veteran in the lobby or any other public area.
The e-mail also bans Christmas music unless it is secular (non-religious) . Another report says the VA hospital has also refused to accept merry Christmas cards sent by children.
