Breaking porn/sex addiction...how?

Each has asked the same questions: If I'm a Christian, why do I still do this? Why hasn't God given me the strength to stop?

Have you considered that may be you have been doing it in your own strength all along?

So breaking porn/sex addiction is not a day's job neither is it by your strength. So do this:

1)You have to realize you need help, admit your powerlessness over your addiction, believe that only God can restore your sanity then decide to turn your life and will to God's care.

2)Bringing things to light is one quick way for the enemy to flee so talk to someone who is spiritually strong/mature about your addiction and be accountable to that person in your journey.

This person will also act as an encourager. If he/she is someone who had been in your shoes, better!

3) Take away your focus from sex rather fill your mind with God's word and activities eg sports etc. Avoid sex talks, thoughts, books or anything that reminds you of sex. Destroy your sex mags, sex toys and any relationship that will pull you back into your addiction.

4) Be committed to it prayerfully and deliberately.

It won't be easy but it sure is worth it. We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us.
