In August this year, during an elaborate lights show, "Projecting Change," the goddess Kali was beamed onto the south side of the Empire State Building in New York City to raise awareness about wildlife extinction.
Goddess Kali is referred to as the goddess of time and destruction but in Sanskrit, Kali means, "she who is black" or "she who is death."
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn calls this move the "third abomination." While some Christians sounded the alarm, others had no idea what was even happening.
Jim
Bakker is quick to point out that having Jesus on the building would
have been illegal, but the image of Kali appears to be perfectly
acceptable by American standards.
Cahn sees the parallels to the last days of Israel, when the true God was made illegal.
