A former playboy bunny, Holly Madison, few weeks ago began spilling the beans about what life was like in the playboy mansion. In case you don’t know it: playboy mansion is owned by Hugh Hefner, an 89 year old man who also owns the popular adult magazine called the Play boy magazine that features nude women. He also has the reputation of having and sleeping with a collection of girlfriends at the same time. Holly Madison during her stay in the mansion was his girlfriend number 1.
Holly wrote about her experience in her new book ‘Down the rabbit hole’. She said that her life at that time was not as exciting as fans may have thought. She once contemplated suicide one night in a bathtub.
“Maybe it was the pot and the alcohol, but drowning myself seemed like the logical way to escape this ridiculous life I was leading.” She quipped.
She felt pressured to get plastic surgery because the environment made them feel insecure about how they looked. And when she made up her mind to leave finally, Hef wanted to bribe her to stay. Madison also talked about how the old man manipulated the women in the house against each other. Then she made a ponderous statement: “ Everyone thinks that the infamous gate was meant to keep people out, but I grew to feel it was meant to lock me in…” In other words, she felt imprisoned despite her so called lavish lifestyle in the playboy mansion, and I bet that is what every other girl within its walls feel also.
It was said that girls actually stay either because they want to be playmates or the money and not because they were drawn to Hef. This shows the extent people will go to get fame and riches even if it means selling their souls to the devil. These people turn out to seem to have everything but inside they are feel empty and are literally dying inside, desperately looking for a way out.
A former butler of playboy mansion also admitted to ‘have seen a lot, heard a lot and done a lot’ in the playboy mansion.
Hefner replied Madison’s allegation saying that she “…decided to rewrite history in order to stay in the spotlight.”
In the past, Hefner’s former girlfriends had individually opened up on certain issues going on in the mansion, eg drugs behind closed doors, the sex ‘parties’ held in Hef’s bedroom where the girls take turns with him starting with his girlfriend number 1, the strict code of conduct, rules about instagram and twitter (they were mandated to show everything in good light), No boys allowed rule, the 9 pm curfew or you will be locked out, the life of seclusion cos no friends are allowed to come up and see you, Hef’s dirty carpet stained with dog poos which hadn’t been changed for years, his use of Viagra during sex with his collection of girlfriend and the weekly sex parties in the mansion.
The entire story is simply one of a false life, bondage and depression. One by one they have revealed what life was like behind the glittering façade of the Playboy Mansion. According to them, it disguises a grubby world where some girls feel they are no ¬better than prostitutes, paid pocket money by an octogenarian obsessive who funds plastic ¬surgery to turn them into his physical ideal, and yet must still take huge amounts of Viagra to manage sex with them.
Remember the saying :” All that glitters is not gold”?
