Bearded faces can be dirtier than the toilet? Research says so...

Rancid bacteria, according to microbiologists, can be collected by the beard thus making it actually dirtier than a loo.
This was found after several beards were swabbed. Some contained normal bacteria whilst some contained so much poo that they were comparable to toilets. So much that if there were similar samples in the water system, it would have been shut down for disinfecting. They said that the key to a poo-free beard is washing your hands, a thorough facial scrub and resisting to twirl your moustache like a victorian gent. Try to keep your hands away from your face as much as possible.
