I just read an article where someone called Beyoncé his lord and savior. Well, it's no surprise because Beyoncé worship has been around for some years now.
There are people who see her as a god and literally worship her, and if you check some of her performances, she is depicted so. Her performance during the 2017 Grammy says so much of her goddess-status in the entertainment industry. Little wonder the Beyoncé-mass was sold out. Up to 900 people attended.
Now following the sold out mass conducted in her name some weeks ago, Beyoncé has gone on to purchase a $850,000 church building in the Garden District few blocks away from her sister Solange's house.
The building, which was constructed in the early 1900s, had not been used for services "for some time" as its previous church membership had passed away.
It is not yet known what the newly purchased church will be used for, though it would require extensive renovation in order to be made into a home.
It's zoned to allow "limited non-residential uses such as places of worship, historic neighborhood commercial establishments, and recreational facilities that are compatible with surrounding residential neighborhoods," according to the city. This means the church could remain a house of worship, be turned into an epic home.
Hmmm, if that old church becomes a place of worship, there is a problem. A place of worship for who? God? I don't think so...
