What is GSA? It will interest you to know...

I was reading one of my favorite blogs and there was this story of a girl (here in Nigeria)whose friend believes she was having sex with her biological father. (Terrible things are happening. Abominations are on the increase!) Earlier I had stumbled into this word 'GSA' . Heard of it before? Okay, save your muscle abeg make I break am down for ya:

GSA is a genetic sexual attraction between two close relatives. It describes an intense, almost obsessive romantic and sexual feelings that estranged relatives often feel for each other upon reunion. It’s believed to be triggered when two family members are estranged early in life ( though in some cases it may not be so).

So GSA, simply put, is an incestuous sexual relationship because it’s between two people who are genetically related eg a father and daughter, a mother and son. According to records it happens in about 50% of such reunions.

In one case of GSA, an 18 yr old girl is presently engaged to be married to her father. They hadn’t seen for 12 yrs. At 16 when they saw for the first time, an attraction was immediate and they began their sexual relationship within the first few days they were together. She lost her virginity to him. They hope to get married in new Jersey where incest is legal. Are you surprised that incest is legal some where? Well, don’t be. This is the world for you where strange things happen.

Incest is as much abominable and demonic as homosexuality. Someone said, “The sexual feelings I had for my father felt like a dark spell that had been cast over me…”. It's actually an act that leaves these people feeling guilty, depressed and suicidal. What can ever be right in it? It shouldn't even be heard of in the first place. The Bible calls it an abomination.
