Animal life now valued more than human life?

A man in a bid to save a woman from a bear, threw in a dog to save her life. And yes, thankfully she escaped. It was posted on social media and people descended on the man, calling for his head as to why he should throw in an 'innocent' dog to save the life of a human being. Smh.

Animal rights activists believe that animals are entitled to the possession of their own lives and like human beings have a right to live free of suffering and exploitation. In fact they believe animals are equal to humans.

An animal rights activist wrote: 

'Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. Many of us bought our beloved “pets” at pet shops, had guinea pigs, and kept beautiful birds in cages. We wore wool and silk, ate McDonald’s burgers, and fished. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved.'

Does it even make sense that abortion of babies is okay and legal yet it is a taboo to harm even a hair on one of their precious animals? What's going on really?

I happened upon a 'Christian' website that said that killing animals is sinful and then they backed up their stance with Bible quotations. But all over the Scripture, under the old covenant, animal sacrifices were performed. It's clear God gave us animals as well as green plants for food.

Gen 9:3 says, 'Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.'

If this is so, why the twist of this truth? Man was created in God's own image, not animals. Everything is just upside down in this world. The lie is being sold as the truth and people are buying it.
