Darlene! She is one of my fav gospel artistes and more like my 'voice' mentor. I just love her voice.Lol.
In December 2013, she received the worst news anyone can get: She had breast cancer. Few days later, she was on hospital bed undergoing a life preserving surgery. She was subjected to intensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Darlene confessed to moments of doubt as she faced this but she held on to God's Word and confessed it. Today, she is cancer free. God did it!
So for those going through trying moments and you are wondering if God still loves you, Darlene says:
"Whatever situation you find yourself in, know this: God is present.
Worship Him—recognizing and acknowledging His greatness—even in moments
of great pain, and you will discover His grace and power is sufficient.
When you are in the pit of suffering, there is only one direction you can go: Up. Look up. Look for God. Look for your Redeemer.
To fully trust God during times of immense pain is one of the great gifts of a trial. You find the beautiful Holy Spirit is there, no matter how broken you are or how disappointed you are or how hopeless you feel.
We worship Him in our moments of success. But we also worship Him in suffering, when we are in the wilderness. Are you suffering? In pain? Discover God's grace in worship. Be honest, but listen. Look up."
*Sincerely, it isn't easy holding on in faith sometimes when going through difficult situations.I personally have had my moments of doubts too, but then God reminds me about the past, how He took care of me and He shows me the present, how He is still taking care of me even little things...wow, it humbles me and rejuvenates me to hold on cos God will surely come through for me no matter how long it takes. He is never late.
No matter what you maybe going through, God cares and is eager to lift that burden. It hurts Him to see you hurt, just that trials are necessary to build our faith.

I so love her songs. Thank God for His healing power over her life. It will be permanent in Jesus name.
