I saw a video by NTA news sometime ago. I have no idea when and which part of Nigeria it happened. It was a story about a woman who gave birth to a child gripping a Bible.
People were amazed. They trooped in to see the baby. They wanted to tap into the blessings that they believe came along with this special baby.
Wow! Amazing, isn't it. But rather than being impressed, a thought came to my mind, 'God is not a show master.'
People love signs and big glaring miracles. They want to see to be convinced. This is the singular reason why many people will be deceived this end time.
When the false prophet and the Antichrist show up, performing miracles will be their most powerful tool to get people's attention and trust. They give people what they want and the people in turn will believe in them.

Rev 13:13- 14a says 'He (the false prophet) did astounding miracles, even making fire flash down to earth from the sky while everyone was watching. And with the miracles he was allowed to perform on behalf of the first beast, he deceived all the people who belong to this world...miracles that deceived all who accepted the mark of the beast and worshiped his statue (Rev 19:20)'
When the teachers of the law came to Jesus asking for a sign to prove Himself (despite the fact they saw all the miracles he had performed), Jesus sighed deeply in His spirit and said, "Why do these people continue to ask for a sign? I will do no such thing." (Mark 8:12)
Sometimes, God doesn't show Himself in big things but in small, simple things everyday of our lives; simple things people likely take for granted and therefore they miss God.
For those who believe, signs and wonders will follow them and not the other way round. Blessed are those who believe without seeing (John 20:29).

Pursue after Jesus and then watch signs and wonders pursue you. People's pursuit for signs only lead them to the wrong places, to the fake churches and into deception.
