First it was Brunei that banned Christmas but right now two other countries , Somalia and Tajiskistan have made the list just few days away from Christmas. Their reasons? That it has nothing to do with Islam.
Somalia is almost entirely Muslim and officials think that Christmas celebrations may attract attacks from the Islamist militants al-Shabaab. The ban also includes the new year celebration with punishment ranging up to 5 yr jail term.
The majority Muslim but nominally secular central Asian republic of Tajikistan has also issued its toughest ban ever on seasonal celebrations, banning Christmas trees and gift-giving in schools.
In Brunei, religious leaders in the sultanate warned this month that a ban on Christmas would be strictly enforced, for fear that Muslims could be led astray. “Using religious symbols like crosses, lighting candles, putting up Christmas trees, singing religious songs, sending Christmas greetings … are against Islamic faith,” imams said in sermons published in the local press.
Punishment for violating the ban is a 5 yr jail term.
Although Christians are free to celebrate, they have been told not to do so “excessively and openly”.
In Maryland schools, Christmas has also been banned thus changing the name Christmas to Winter break . This was said to be ensured by the local Muslim families.

* Have you noticed recently the pressure of scrapping Christmas? Why do you think? Christmas is a period that comes with good tidings of great joy announcing the birth of a Savior and Satan is fighting tooth and nail to see this celebration ended and the way the world is right now...hmmm.
Whatever happens the Gospel will reach the ends of the earth and souls will still be won and there is nothing Mr devil can do about that. The kingdom of God is marching on!
