Are you battling low self esteem? Please read

Low self confidence, insecurity are all psychological; a thing of the mind. If you have to deal with it you have to start by working on your mind. Yes. It starts from your head and possibly that's the only place it is.

 It's what you feel when you walk down the street and think that people's eyes are boring into you when actually nobody is even looking at you.

It's all a lie painting a non-existent picture in your head and you are buying it and unnecessarily making yourself feel bad about something that really isn't there.

Most times insecurities have to do with our bodies. You may feel you are too short, too dark, too slim or your body is covered with stretch marks, spots, burns, scars etc. So it makes you feel inferior when you stand with people or that you don’t just fit in.  On the other hand, when one feels unloved, neglected, slandered and ignored (snubbed), it could produce a level of low esteem as well. One’s background also affects one’s confidence.

So, how to overcome low self confidence?

1)  Renew your mind

To battle insecurity start by working on your mind. Look at God’s Word.  What does God say about you there? You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are created in His image to be unique, different and beautiful. It doesn’t matter what is going on around you, believe it.

2) Make prayerful confessions

Look at yourself in the mirror and say, 'I am fearfully and wonderfully made! I am unique. I am different. I am beautiful. I will not let what people say or think intimidate me. I walk with my head high!" Say it, believe it, do it prayerfully scraping away layer after layer of Satan's lies. Look at God's Word for there is the truth about you written.
