The religion of Ted Turner, founder of CNN

The 77 yr old thinks he’s in the same class with Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Gandhi, Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, Washington, Roosevelt, and Churchill.  Turner had a troubled childhood. When his fifteen-year-old sister died of lupus disease. His father, who eventually killed himself by firing a bullet into his brain, renounced religion: “If that’s the type of God he is, I want nothing to do with him,” he said.  Shortly thereafter, Ted himself abandoned any semblance of faith. He became a profane, hard-drinking rogue. He once told one of his wives, “My business comes first, my boat second, and you third.” During at least one of his marriages, he was a notorious womanizer.  By the mid-80s, Turner was having serious mental problems. In 1990, Turner said “Christianity is a religion for losers” in an atheist convention. He ridicules the idea of hell, believes nature is god. In 1989, Turner, having no biblical knowledge declared the original Ten Commandments obs...

This is the secret to your success in 2016..

Remember New Year's Eve almost 12 months ago? Were you holding high hopes it would be your best year yet? Amid the jubilant celebration, were you lifting praise to God for anticipated success and breakthrough in your life? Looking back over the year, do you have to admit things just didn't turn out the way you had hoped? Unexpected setbacks ... financial reversals ... disappointments ... failures ... mistakes ... betrayals ... need we go on? As 2015 comes to a close, it's a great time for reflection and learning from errors, plus pursuing God for direction and fresh motivation going forward. A primary component for success in the coming year is remembering the importance of perseverance. Jesus told us in the parable of the sower that it was only by perseverance that an individual reaps the desired harvest (Luke 8:15).  Here's the deal: With some exceptions, success and achievement are only achieved through persistence. Adversity comes to us all, bu...

Crazy! Some countries want pedophilia and child porn legalized

No, the world isn't going crazy. I think it has gone crazy. How would sane thinking people even consider such wickedness? Though these articles are as far back as 2009, it opens your eyes to the state of our world. Dutch pedophiles wanted to launch a political party to push for a cut in the legal age for sexual relations from 16 to 12  and eventually scrap the limit all together and also the legalization of child pornography and sex with animals. "A ban just makes children curious,"one of them said. The party wants private possession of child pornography, broadcasting of pornography on daytime television, with only violent porn limited to the late evening, to be allowed. That toddlers be given sex education and youths aged 16 and up should be allowed to appear in pornographic films and prostitute themselves. Sex with animals should be allowed although abuse of animals should remain illegal.   The party also said everybody should be allowed...

Something you didn't know about Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather made a whooping $300 million in 2015. Wow! He has become the highest earning athlete. And what better way to celebrate than to show it off on Instagram? Yeah, he does that a lot and it makes me wonder why..hmmm. Let’s take a sneak peek into Floyd Mayweather’s ‘enviable’ lifestyle. Mayweather, an undefeated boxing champion, making an average of $15,000 a second during some of his big pay per view fights.   When the fighter was not in training he would sleep from 6am until 3pm each day before spending two hours dressing and grooming himself. He hates using credit cards so he moves around with raw cash, withdrawing nothing less than $100,000 in bills daily. He blows his money on strippers, extravagant shopping sprees, expensive fine dining and lavish nights out. He has  a thing for strippers. He has strippers on retainer all over the country, but doesn’t like to get lap dances. It isn’t unusual for him to drop $100k at the strip club. ...

Merry Christmas!

A very beautiful Christmas to everyone. Wow! God has again proved His faithfulness.  I want to thank everyone who visits here, anyone who makes out time to comment and to share. I appreciate. God won't leave you unrewarded. And as we reflect on Jesus, the reason for the season, let's not forget it was because of you and me that He came in the first place. This is no time for just rice and chicken, fun and games and Santa Claus , neither is it a period to start the usual analysis of whether Jesus was born on the 25th of December or not.  Enjoy the season as you keep Jesus in focus. The King is born! Merry Christmas from Mitchelle. God bless you all.

How to deal with your insecurities/ fears/ low self esteem...

3) Work on your out ward appearance Actually look beautiful! Go for a makeover if you want to and feel good with yourself.   Stop looking down on yourself nor compare yourself with anyone. Work hard at keeping fit and looking beautiful. Dress smart, eat right. Refuse that situation should dictate to you what you will become instead take control of your situation and make the best out of it. 4)Love yourself and others If you can’t love yourself, it will be impossible to love people around you. So start by loving yourself and accepting yourself the way you are whilst you make deliberate moves to improve on yourself, your attitude and your disposition. Keep smiling, be courteous, be friendly. Break the shyness jinx and go out make friends. Do not let the fear of being snubbed stop you. Ignore what people say. Pay attention to what God says. It is a conscious, deliberate effort you have to make prayerfully. God will heal you as you prayerfully confess what you believe...

Are you battling low self esteem? Please read

Low self confidence, insecurity are all psychological; a thing of the mind. If you have to deal with it you have to start by working on your mind. Yes. It starts from your head and possibly that's the only place it is.   It's what you feel when you walk down the street and think that people's eyes are boring into you when actually nobody is even looking at you. It's all a lie painting a non-existent picture in your head and you are buying it and unnecessarily making yourself feel bad about something that really isn't there. Most times insecurities have to do with our bodies. You may feel you are too short, too dark, too slim or your body is covered with stretch marks, spots, burns, scars etc. So it makes you feel inferior when you stand with people or that you don’t just fit in.  On the other hand, when one feels unloved, neglected, slandered and ignored (snubbed), it could produce a level of low esteem as well. One’s background also affects one’s con...

Is there really a computer called the Beast?

I've heard years back about a computer called the Beast but does it really exist? Let me tell you about this 'Beast': They say it is a gigantic 3 storey, self programming computer that has been set up in Brussels, Belgium. By using three entries of six digits each, each citizen of the whole world will be given a distinct credit card number. Three entries of six digits each: 666. It is said to located in the administrative building of the headquarters of the Common Market. From the story, experts in programming have perfected a plan that will handle by computer all of the world's trade.   This master plan would imply a system of digital enumeration of each human being of the earth. Thus the computer would give each inhabitant of the world a number to be used for each purchase or sale, removing the problem of present credit cards.  This number would be invisibl...

Masturbation, is it okay for you?

Masturbation is a plague right now, a way to stimulate one's genital sexually usually to the point of orgasm. And contrary to what a popular pastor said that masturbation is not a sin but just a habit, I will say that masturbation a sin and a bad habit, completely unhealthy for your soul. It's everywhere, even in the Church and many try to justify this very act in order to feel more comfortable doing it. There is nothing pure about masturbation and I will show you why.   Sexual sin The Bible does not literally mention masturbation but masturbation is categorized under sexual sin See 1Cor 6:9-10. Sexual sin/immorality isn’t just fornication/adultery. It also includes pornography, bestiality, homosexuality, sodomy, pedophilia. Necrophilia, bisexuality, fetishes etc. You don’t see any mention of pornography in the Bible but that does not mean pornography isn’t a sin. So masturbation like every sexual sin deviates from what   God intended sex to be. God who cr...

Eh! Christmas has been banned in 3 countries

First it was Brunei that banned Christmas but right now two other countries , Somalia and Tajiskistan have made the list just few days away from Christmas. Their reasons? That it has nothing to do with Islam. Somalia is almost entirely Muslim and officials think that Christmas celebrations may attract attacks from the Islamist militants al-Shabaab. The ban also includes the new year celebration with punishment ranging up to 5 yr jail term. The majority Muslim but nominally secular central Asian republic of Tajikistan has also issued its toughest ban ever on seasonal celebrations, banning Christmas trees and gift-giving in schools.  In Brunei, religious leaders in the sultanate warned this month that a ban on Christmas would be strictly enforced, for fear that Muslims could be led astray. “Using religious symbols like crosses, lighting candles, putting up Christmas trees, singing religious songs, sending Christmas greetings … are against Islamic faith,” imams said in ...

Could the Riftia worms be likened to the ones in hell?

Sometime ago, Scientists discovered strange giant tube worms in the ocean floor. These worms are unique in that they are capable of surviving in total darkness, do not eat, can live in extremely hot temperatures below the surface of the earth and can survive in an environment full of sulfur(in fact sulfur is their source of livelihood), the chemical that fuels fire in hell according to the Bible. All these characteristics are found in hell. The scientists discovered the worms under the sea around hydrothermal vents, which are rather like small volcanoes occurring under the sea. In fact, they believe that the worms come from deep inside the earth from where they are brought forth to the floor of the ocean by the hydrothermal vents. So the question is could riftia worms be like the ones found in hell? The verdict is yours. Culled *Been writing so much about hell these days. I can't help it. Only God knows why. Hell is not worth it. It's a drea...

Weird business. Company pays couples $10,000 to have their dream wedding, charges money back with interest if they divorce

This company is taking advantage of the high divorce rates to rake in some dough. Yes. They are investing in divorce. SwanLuv, a Seattle startup company, offers to pay couples for their dream wedding, but the money will have to be returned with interest if they ever get divorced. If you want to get married and you apply, they check you out and if you meet their criteria, they’ll offer you a loan of up to $10,000.  The couple don't return the money unless their marriage crashes.  But the moment they decide to get a divorce they’ve got to cough up the original amount, plus interest . And the longer the couple stay, the higher their interest they will attract if they divorce eventually. Those who started this business are banking on the statistical fact that most of these marriages will fail. More like gambling with people's lives and happiness? If a marriage ends in abuse, only one person is responsible for paying off the debt. And to help couples beat the odds, ...

Near death experience: Encounter with hell

Several years ago, a book was published titled Beyond Death's Door by Dr Maurice Rawlings. Dr Rawlings, a specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, resuscitated many people who had been clinically dead.  Dr Rawlings, a devout atheist, "considered all religion "hocus-pocus" and death nothing more than a painless extinction". But something happened in 1977 that brought a dramatic change in the life of Dr Rawlings! He was resuscitating a man, terrified and screaming — descending down into the flames of hell: "Each time he regained heartbeat and respiration, the patient screamed, "I am in hell!" He was terrified and pleaded with me to help him. I was scared to death. . . Then I noticed a genuinely alarmed look on his face. He had a terrified look worse than the expression seen in death! This patient had a grotesque grimace expressing sheer horror! His pupils were dilated, and he was perspiring and trembling — he looked as if h...
