It has been a whirl wind of excitement for her fans that their Queen Bee is expecting, not just one but two children. I feel so happy for her cos the feeling is amazing. Finally Blue Ivy gets to have company. Lol.
Beyonce released pictures and a poem 'I have three hearts' written by Warsan Shires, a 28-year-old Somali poet from Kenya who lives in Los Angeles, California.
But what you may not know is that those pictures and the poem invoke goddesses.
Yemoja |
The pictures depicts Gaia (the mother earth) & Venus, and her under water pictures depicts the water goddess, Osun. The poem also literally mentions three fertility goddesses- Venus, Osun,Yemoja and Nefartiti.
Yemoja in the Yoruba religion is the African Goddess of the Ocean and the patron deity of pregnant women.
Osun |
Osun goddess in Yoruba religion is the mother of the African sweet or fresh waters.
She is also said to be the goddess of love, fertility, prosperity, beauty and order.
She is always shown wearing a yellow dress. Remember I did an article comparing Beyonce wearing a yellow dress in Lemonade video to Osun.

And someone was wondering how come Beyonce knows about Osun. I guess it's clear now.
Nefertiti (meaning a beautiful woman has come) was a queen in Egypt. She and her husband established the cult of Aten or Sun god.
Nefartiti |
Venus in Roman mythology was the goddess of love, sex, beauty, and fertility.

Notice the background? |
In every art, there is a message. Sometimes you need to look closer to recognize that message and understand it. It's not a co-incidence. I guess we now know where her allegiance lies...
