The new I do: Open marriage. Cheating with your spouse's blessing

Cheating…with your spouse’s knowledge and blessing is now the new way for some people to save their marriage and keep it strong.

They think that  since infidelity has brought about high divorce rates, why not the couples accept the inevitable, that occasionally ‘stepping out’ may just be part of our biology, and agree for their spouses to see other people in order to keep their marriage . 

Monogamy is slowly getting outdated as couples settle for open marriages, swinging or couple swapping. Polyamory, which translates to “many loves,”  according to them, is an arrangement that has a goal of total honesty, mutual respect and transparency. Open marriages allow spouses the freedom to explore relationships outside of their own marriage if they desire to do so. These arrangements can provide couples with the honesty and freedom they have always wanted. 

Open marriages are being touted as the saving grace because humans will get back to their animalistic nature of fulfilling their innate sexual lusts. Huh?! They also have swinging and couple swapping.

This arrangement has become, for some couples, the alternative to the current marriage structure that could possibly save relationships.

 

Remember M'onique of Phat girls? She is a self confessed open marriage practiser (if I can use that word). Will Smith and Jada , his wife, are also said to be in an open marriage.
