Long before hospitals and modern medicine, our great great great great grand parents lived and most of them lived long healthy lives. Why? Did they find a secret that is oblivious to us today?
They fed fresh and they exercised. They did a lot of manual labor - farming, fetching water from the stream and also had time to play and relax! Our ancestors sure know how to have fun.
Today, we have become so busy trying to make money that we forget to pay attention to our bodies. We forget that when our bodies are sick, everything will be on hold, including that business we have been killing ourselves over.
"Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers..." (1Jn 1:2)
Don't look too far. God's will for you is in His Word and it is clear that He wants you to prosper in every way -

- Physically (your body/health)
- Spiritually
- Financially/materially
If we will live healthy, we should:
- Eat fresh food: Leave the canned foods. Go fresh! Fresh meat, fresh tomatoes, fresh carrots, fresh everything. When a food is processed, it stops being fresh, nutrients are lost and certain things which are not healthy for your body are added to it. Seriously, you can't compete with anything fresh. Feed less on junks.
- Eat fresh fruits: It vamps you up with vitamin C and boosts your immune system. Yeah, eat lots and lots of fruits. Oh, this is so beautiful. Mangoes, bananas, apples etc. Keep them fresh, not preserved.
- Drink a lot of fresh water: Water is good both for your body and your skin. It's advantages are endless.
- Exercises: You and I know this can't be over-emphasized. Stay fit. You could do simple routine exercises like skipping, walking, jogging etc, but do something.
- Rest: Plenty of rest is so necessary. Don't undermine its effect on you.

ReplyDeleteLol. Nothing wrong with eating bread. I do too sometimes. Just keep your diet balanced. I am only trying to point out that if you must eat food, it's always best to go for fresh rather than processed.
