Aspiring musician reveals the 'cultish' and bizarre conditions given to him by a record label in Lagos
Earlier today, I had a very interesting conversation with someone close to me and he made some shocking revelations about the music/entertainment industry in Nigeria.
Believe me I was shocked. So shocked that I was surprised that I was shocked. I know these things naa. But I realize that the reason I was even more shocked was because I didn't read this information from somewhere, neither was it a hearsay. I got first hand from someone I personally know; who is close to me. He also is an aspiring musician. There is a price tag for fame. It's either you do it God's way or you do it demonically.
But should you be surprised? With what you see in their music videos these days, the truth can't be far-fetched. For these labels to sign you up, there are terms and conditions and I will be spilling those terms and conditions here very soon.
I shiver at the fate of aspiring musicians and musicians in general. Not just in Nigeria but all over the world. Musicians, including gospel musicians have been known to have been given the option of selling out their soul for fame. This same thing is happening in Nigeria. These people pay a steep price for fame. It's terrible. They want to own you, control you and every single thing you do for the period the contract lasts. This is cultish. Sounds like the Nigerian Illuminati version.
I will be dishing the full story here very soon, so stay tuned for it.
I know it's been a while in here but forgive me. I have a lot of things at hand hence why I haven't blogged for quite a long time. But I will never stop blogging. Lol. So do me well to check back again and again and again until you see a new post.
Wait for my full story with all the spicy details on or before Tuesday.
Love you.
