Parents are teaching pre-teens how to touch themselves and use sex toys on YouTube video called 'Parents Explain Masturbation'

In “Parents Explain Masturbation”, children who did not even reach puberty are given a course on touching oneself and using sex toys.

It is cringy, it is upsetting, and one can almost feel some these children’s innocence evaporating as they are being used for YouTube views.

This video is wrong for so many reasons. Is it because the children are being given sex toys? Is it the mom that talks about “erect penises” to nine-year-old girls? Is it because the children look extremely uncomfortable in the situation they are enduring?

The cringe factor is so strong that I had to fast-forward through several parts of this bizarre horror show.

Isn’t it obvious that children who have not yet reached puberty are not ready for this kind of stuff? Isn’t it obvious that people who think of bringing up these topics in such an explicit matter to children are somewhat unbalanced?

What is obvious is the fact that mass media are into sexualizing children. And YouTube is making it even easier.

In the viral video the clip includes one woman remarking to two young girls how “masturbation is when you touch your privates in different ways to make yourself feel good – isn’t that right?”

Another clip shows a mother simulating the masturbation action with her hand in front of her son, while another shows a mother telling her daughter how, “Your big sissy did it quite a bit when she was little.”

In another scene, a large pink dildo is slammed down by a man in front of a girl who looks to be no older than 9 or 10. Another young girl is shown picking up and playing with the dildo.

“This is to simulate an erect penis – that’s why you don’t need a boy,” one mother tells her two daughters, who appear to be adopted.

The five-minute video shows several sets of mostly single parents offering excruciatingly painful explanations to their demonstrably uncomfortable, horrified kids. 

The kids frequently avert their eyes as mom demonstrates how to masturbate using her hands or sometimes a dildo as a prop. More than one of the kids freak out when their moms insists that they pick up a dildo and handle it.
 
Throughout the video, the kids cringe. The body language is difficult to watch. They shake their heads, they cover their eyes, they hold their heads in their hands; they turn their heads and look away from their parents, holding up their hands as if to say “stop talking; please, stop talking.”  

Rather than expressing concern for the discomfort their kids are experiencing, the parents mostly laugh with glee as their kids squirm, and then look off in the distance at the other adults standing behind the camera for approval.
