If you want to open a church business, prophecies and miracles are your selling points.
When a pastor, Bishop, prophet makes a prophecy and it seems to come to pass, then he goes on his face book page and announces that he made so and so prophecy and it happened, it sends off a green light.
Or he renders help to the poor and announces it to the whole world through social media, please beware.
These subtle actions show they are only out to glorify themselves and not God. It's always "I did this, I did that" or "the man of God did this or that".
When they put up public miracles, they intend to attract the attention of vulnerable followers who are more interested in what miracles they will benefit than actually receiving Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
These pastors know that the more they put up the 'show' or demonstration of miracles, the more people will come to their church and even more money they will garner. It's purely business and nothing more.
They develop tricks to usurp money from their ignorant followers. They water down God's Word and souls hardly saved. They harp more on materialism than salvation and holiness.
Do these pastors encourage their congregants to study the Word for themselves? They would rather have you run to them when you are in trouble than for you to realize who you are and pray for yourself and others.
Beware of the subtle spirit of pride. Beware of Pastors who draw attention to themselves through prophecies and miracles for public display. Believe me, it has nothing to do with God.
By their fruits, you shall know them. But how can you identify these fruits when you don't study the Word of God?
That's why many are deceived because they have refused to know God's Word for themselves and obey it.
Discover God through His Word cos in discovering God is discovering who you really are.
It's better you settle for a Bible believing and practicing church than a church where miracles are performed and there is little or no mention of salvation.
Stop pursuing signs.
Signs and wonders shall follow you instead. Pursue the substance (Jesus) not the shadow (signs). When you get Jesus, the signs and blessing will naturally come.
God bless you!
