Now this may appear to you as just some crazy fans showing solidarity to Beyonce by cutting and making themselves bleed for her but when you look closely, it's more than that.
Another form of worship? Yes. Reminds me of the prophets of Baal who actually cut themselves as they invoked him while Elijah waited. Cutting is a ritual.
Maybe by the time you see how far these people (BeyHive) could go for their queen, then you'll understand what I mean when I connect this to celebrity worship.
Some days ago, while she performed 'Haunted' in TIDAL concert, Beyonce ripped out an earring causing her ear to bleed.
The singer's hair got caught up on her earring, tearing it from her ear and causing plenty of blood - and there was a call to cut.
After the performance, Twitter and Facebook was ablaze with "#CutforBeyonce" and "BleedforBeyonce" hashtags. The so-called Beyhive (Beyonce's fan base of mostly women and gay men who obsess over her stardom) started cutting themselves in a show of unity with the singer.
Bloody, gruesome photos have been cropped up on social media as proof that people really did cut themselves for her.
One wrote, "If the queen bleeds the hive must unify to leak our blood and restore her spirits. Beyhive we must #cutforBeyonce"
Another posted a picture of cut out earlobe and wrote, "Cut off my ear for Beyonce"
"If Queen B had to endure pain, so do I. Tonight we #CutforBeyonce."
Now an expert explained what cutting is and what it actually signifies.
'Cutting is a form of deliberate self-harm, self-inflicted violence in which people take a razor blade or other sharp object and cut into their flesh to the point of letting blood.
And this call to cut is a demon-inspired ploy to drive depressed teenagers deeper into bondage and lure curious youth to engage in an act they've never had the courage to act out.' - Jennifer LeClaire of Charisma News
*These are subtle times and Satan is the king of subtlety. It is a time when man has chosen to worship the creature instead of the Creator. Smh.
Be careful what you listen to and who you follow.
