Well, let's get her introduced first...
Veronica Sande is a gospel singer from Nairobi Kenya. She posted some vacation pictures on Instagram and some of her followers called her out for her dressing saying it is inappropriate considering her status as a gospel singer.
But Sande and her husband don't see anything wrong with it. Her husband even came to her defense.
So what do you think? Can a professing Christian dress like this?
Last time I checked, decency is still very much a part of being a Christian.
I usually hear people say 'do not judge' when matters like this arise. I don't and I won't cos it's never in my position to judge considering there is only one Lawgiver and Judge - God.
What we are expected to do as Christians is to teach/ correct/point out the truth in love. If not, a whole lot of wrong doings will be overlooked using that singular 'do not judge' statement.
Paul once rebuked Peter when Peter stepped out of line in Gal 2:14. He said to Peter,
"If you, who are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?"
What would a worldly person say when he/she sees you doing dressing the same way they do?
What makes you different from them?
How then do we convince them about the way of righteousness?
There is nothing wrong Sande putting on those dresses privately for her hubby but to do it publicly and then put it up on social media is totally indecent, inappropriate and unchristian.
Sande's husband told a follower that called out his wife that 'it is people like her(the follower) that makes Christianity boring.'
Wow. Really? So we have to blend with the world's standard in order to 'un-bore' our Christian lifestyle abi?
There everything sweet about being covered up. Not only are you comfortable , it also gives glory to God ultimately.
Let's be wise and not compromise the godly standard. Our body is God's Temple. Treat it as such.
*If you are a Christian and think the Christian lifestyle is boring, lol, well sorry, you just have not started living it!
