You just dey, jejely dey mind your own business when suddenly an almost familiar voice whispers to your ear,
"Just take a sneak peek."
For a moment you consider it. Nobody's around. You are all alone and rapture is not bound to happen in the next few minutes so what harm can it possibly do to take a casual peek at some porn vids and apologize to God later?
You get pensive as the feeling, this urge, this nudging in your gut mounts up. The desire is building up and all it will take to allay it is a sneak peek, just a peek and that will be all.
Lol. Am I describing someone?
Technology has made 'certain things' so easily accessible that you don't even need to go far or outside the confines of your home to get it. You can engage in virtual sex at the comfort and privacy of your house. Your pastor won't even know. Your spouse won't know. Nobody will know.
But one thing about taking a sneak peek is that it can become a habit and a habit becomes part of you. So rather than give in to the desire to take a sneak peek, why not stand up and get out of there?
Many of us Christians today by 'just a sneak peek' at porn or that thing have become slaves to sexual sin. This is one big dark secret sin that the church suffers today and it's pulling the Church down. It all starts in our privacy, when noone is watching.
Let's not trivialize sin. It grows and brings forth Death in the end. It's really not easy keeping away from these things but God has given us a way out (1 Cor 10:13)and it is called GRACE.
There is no taking a sneak peek at sin. It's safer to keep your distance. Don't go there or there is every likelihood that you may be sucked in. Sexual sin is dangerously magnetic.
