Amidst protests, UK Scientists have received a go - ahead to genetically modify healthy human embryos within the first week of life.
They will be using excess embryos donated by couples who have had in vitro fertilization treatment after which they destroy it (No sanctity of human life!)
Implanting these genetically altered embryos into a woman still remains illegal though.
They hope this gene hacking could help researchers better understand what causes miscarriages and infertility and perhaps one day lead to better treatments for infertility.
One of the major concerns this research has raised is the fact that it can pave way for 'designer babies'.
That means they can design humans that look or speak a certain way or that have resistances to certain diseases but the possibility is still years away, according to report.
The research will be carried out at the Francis Crick Institute in London, headed by Dr Kathy Niakan, and expected to start within the next few months.
*Do you know what this means? This another case of man trying to play God.
This could be a potential tool for them to try creating 'super humans', you know all those X-men characters you watch, people with super powers that make them look like small gods?
That was someone dream put into movies and with this research, though will take years, they will make their attempt to create their imaginations.
But guess what? It won't work. Remember what happened in the tower of Babel? That is exactly what is happening now!God scattered them and He will do so again.
