Common trends in homosexuals

I discovered a common trend in the confession of ex-homosexuals and lesbians who eventually gave their life to Christ.

1. They usually come from a dysfunctional family, had been sexually molested or are influenced by pornography, friends, peers, environment or society.

Moore, an ex-homosexual said, "From my experience in talking now to people who are either confused about their sexuality or repenting of homosexuality, 99.9 percent of the ones that I've talked to were sexually violated, molested or exposed to pornography at the young age of four- to seven-years-old," 

2. In the beginning, they usually are silent about their sexual stuff. They keep it secret and don't confide in anyone about their problem. In their silence, Satan makes them believe that it is normal to feel they way they do. Joyce Meyer said, “Bringing things to light is one way for the devil to flee.”

With time, they believe the lie that they were born ‘this way’ thus deadening their conscience and preventing them to seek help but rather accept the way they are. They even seek scriptural verses to justify their actions.


3. They long to be loved and accepted. And when they eventually find Jesus they simply know He was the true love they have been looking for all the while.

4. They usually delve in to state of depression so they turn to alcohol, drugs and pornography. Sometimes they battle with suicidal thoughts.
