Subliminal message in Ariana Grande's 'God is Woman'

'God is Woman' is Ariana Grande's new song though not written by her.

The song does not actually claim that God is a woman rather it mixes the concepts of divinity with sexuality. The song and the video are actually about her becoming a goddess through sexuality; about Ariana Grande “ascending” to the status of a goddess through the act of copulation.

In the occult, Sex Magick uses the energy from arousal to reach magical purposes.Crowley’s occult order, the O.T.O, claimed that the mastery of this practice led to nothing less than unlocking the secrets of all forms of spirituality.

This song is similar to Madonna’s 1989 hit Like a Prayer, which cleverly (yet blasphemously) blended sex with religion.

The lyrics of God is a Woman uses vocabulary associated with spirituality to describe various acts of lovemaking.

In the second verse, there is more religious-inspired lust.

The video contains lots of symbols and references that all point to the same idea: Ariana becoming (and even replacing) God. To drive the point home, the video hints to various depictions of divinity throughout history.
