'People love drinking Coke despite all of the horrible
effects Coke has on your body. Nicaraguan designer Fabio Pantoja, a
former Coke-lover is now ‘showing’ everyone the honest truth using a jarring
recreation of the Coca Cola logo.
In the logo, Pantoja depicts all the internal organs negatively affected by the chemically toxic
soft drink.
Orthophosphoric acid (listed as E338), is one of the
detrimental additives and by far the most hazardous ingredient.
The chemical compound is so corrosive, it must be trucked
into the company's factories in specially coated containers impervious to its
effects.
Also aspartame, the chemical that gives Coke it's
sweet, addictive taste, are its most dangerous substances. But make no mistake,
they're not alone.
When warm enough, aspartame converts into formaldehyde - a
chemical most commonly used in adhesives and other bonding agents. That means
that if you've ever had a sip of lukewarm Coca Cola, you've officially drank
the primary substance in super glue. Exposure to or ingestion of formaldehyde
has also recently been associated with certain types of cancer. And yes, you
read all of that right.
Although this is only the tip of the iceberg when it
comes to the harm Coke can cause your body, it's precisely what Pantoja wanted
to visually point out - we simply don't know what we're consuming when we drink
it.
