Hey you! Are you an Ingrate?

One day, I met a woman in the hospital who came for an ultrasound scan. She wanted to get pregnant so I asked her how many children she had.

"Just one," she answered, her countenance thankless for even that one child she has. And I thought to myself 'if only this woman realized how so many women out there would do anything to have just one child, if only she knew the millions of naira couples spend just to become parents, she will be more grateful to God for that her 'just one child'.

It's very easy for us to overlook our blessings; the gift of life, children, houses, jobs, friends etc. and complain about the ones we have not received.

Let's learn to be thankful for even the minutest things in our lives. Don't ever get used to the gifts God gives you, no matter how small or insignificant it is.

Because one sure way of receiving more from God is to be grateful and thankful for every little/big thing He does for you.

An ungrateful heart can lock up doors of favor that naturally would have opened to us if we were grateful.
