Meet GloRilla. The so-called gospel singer that won the BET Award for Best Gospel/Inspirational Song at the 2025 BET Awards for her song "Rain Down On Me" featuring Kirk Franklin. So I had to pull some of her pictures from her Instagram page in order to send home my point. Jesus said in Matt 7:16, "By their fruits you shall know them." Our fruits is the physical evidence of our inward transformation. A good tree can't bear bad fruit neither can a bad tree bear good fruit (Matt 7:17). And looking at the person of GloRilla, it is clear she is obviously not born-again. When you say Gospel songs, you know that these are songs that glorifies God. But if we would look at what is happening, even Gospel songs have been reduced to entertainment. Yes, they have lyrics that 'seem' to give God glory but clearly the person who singing this song is still very far from Him. So how does it work? Am I being judgemental? No. I am just sad that what white is called black ...
